There are too many “abundances of caution” with the V-22. It’s time to remove it from the fleet (front-line) forces and place it in an R&D role where, hopefully, it can help develop better future tiltrotor aircraft. Every part of this program seems cursed – design, operations, suppliers, logistics, life-cycle, etc. It’s unreliable, reduces combat readiness, and is an operational distraction.
It's not worth risking any more lives for this genetically flawed bastard love child of the incestuous 1980s military-industrial complex.
